Uric Acid Log is designed to keep your health records local. Uric acid readings, notes, and related health content remain on your device. They are synchronized through Apple CloudKit only when you enable iCloud sync.
1. Information We Process
We do not send uric acid readings, target values, measurement dates, record notes, gender settings, or other health content to analytics or advertising services.
To understand feature usage and improve the app, we process limited product analytics through PostHog, including:
Basic technical information such as app version, operating system version, device type, app language, and time zone;
A random identifier generated by PostHog and the IP address that may be processed while handling network requests.
We do not require your name, email address, or phone number for product analytics, and we do not intentionally associate analytics identifiers with your health records.
2. Local Storage and iCloud
Local storage: Health records are stored in the app database on your device.
iCloud sync: When enabled, records are stored through Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud account and synchronized between your Apple devices. We cannot directly access your private CloudKit data.
Disabling sync: You can turn off iCloud sync in the app settings at any time.
3. CSV Export
You can export records as a CSV file. The file is saved or shared only to a location you select, and the app does not upload exported files to our servers.
4. Product Analytics
We use PostHog to understand aggregated product usage, verify installations, and troubleshoot problems. Product analytics is not controlled by your advertising consent choice.
Analytics data may be processed by PostHog services in the United States;
Session Replay, automatic element capture, automatic screen capture, surveys, push subscription capture, and automatic error tracking are disabled;
The advertising service is selected using the App Store region associated with the account that downloaded the app. Ad requests begin only after the applicable privacy notice or choice flow is completed:
China mainland App Store: Umeng U-AppWin is used. The app presents an advertising privacy notice before initialization.
Other App Store regions: Google AdMob is used. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) determines whether consent or privacy choices are required under local law.
Advertising services may process device information, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, network information, and ad interactions. They do not receive your uric acid records or notes.
You control locally stored records and can delete them in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data. iCloud data is managed through your Apple account. Information processed by third-party services is retained according to their configuration, agreements, and privacy policies. Industry-standard safeguards such as HTTPS are used for data transmission.
7. Your Choices and Rights
View, add, edit, delete, or export your records;
Enable or disable iCloud sync;
In China mainland, decline advertising consent. Local record features remain available and the Umeng advertising SDK is not initialized;
In other regions, use Google's privacy options to manage advertising consent. Google may provide limited or non-personalized ads depending on your choices and applicable law;
Contact us to ask questions or exercise rights relating to analytics information.
8. Children's Privacy
The app does not provide services targeted to children, and we do not knowingly collect children's health records or direct identifiers. Contact us if you believe a child has provided such information.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when features, service providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated through the app or this page.
